Kohima: Nagaland Governor La Ganesan reiterated the state government’s commitment to “pave way” for the final solution of the longstanding Naga political issue during the inaugural session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) on Monday.
Addressing the assembly, Ganesan acknowledged the unresolved Naga Political Issue as a significant impediment to the state’s development and welfare objectives. He expressed the collective aspiration of Nagaland’s citizens for a peaceful resolution, emphasising the importance of unity among stakeholders in achieving this goal.
Ganesan urged all parties involved to set aside their differences and collaborate towards finding a mutually acceptable solution through dialogue and compromise. He affirmed the government’s unwavering dedication to facilitating the peace process and serving as a constructive mediator in negotiations.
“On behalf and for the sake of the people of Nagaland, I once again call upon all the stakeholders to overcome their differences and any other remaining obstacles, and to thrash out the final solution in a spirit of give and take,” the governor said.

The Governor also commended the commitment of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) members to resolving the Naga Political Issue, highlighting the formation of an opposition-less government as a testament to their shared objective.
“I would like to reiterate that my Government is ready to pave the way for the final solution that is honourable, acceptable, and inclusive,” Ganesan said.
