Kohima: Minister of State for Defence & Tourism, Ajay Bhatt, who arrived in Nagaland on Saturday, reviewed the security situation and the operational preparedness in the state.
PRO Defence Sumit Sharma informed that senior military leaders briefed on the operational readiness along the Northern borders as well as the ongoing counter insurgency operations in North Eastern states in Rangapahar Military Station and Kohima Garrison.
The Union minister also laid a wreath at the Rangapahar War Memorial to pay homage to those who made supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. Interacting with the troops, Ajay commended the soldiers for their professionalism and high morale.
Ajay Bhatt is scheduled to meet with the family of Lt Captain Neikezhakuo Kenguruse on Sunday.
