Young music prodigy Aniya Vibes releasing new song 'Uri Jai Mon'

In the world of pop music, early beginnings often mark the path to stardom. Legends like Bob Dylan and Michael Jackson began their journeys young, and now, 13-year-old Aniya Vibes appears to be following in their footsteps. Aniya, who has already released four songs—one in Hindi, one in English, and two in her mother tongue Assamese—shows artistic maturity despite her youth.

Aniya’s parents, both tech professionals based in San Francisco, have ensured she remains connected to her Assamese roots. Her talent has not gone unnoticed, with renowned musician Joi Barua recently praising her on social media.

Although raised in California, Aniya’s music reflects a deep connection to Assam. Her uncle, Sibabrata Sharma, an established music composer and producer, has been a significant influence. Their collaboration blends Aniya’s Western influences with Sharma’s rich experience in Indian music, creating a unique fusion. This blend is evident in Aniya’s latest single, “Uri Jai Mon,” a tropical summer anthem that combines traditional Assamese elements with contemporary dancehall and reggaeton rhythms. The song is a joyful celebration of resilience and youth, marking Aniya’s debut at the age of nine.

Maitrayee Patar, a renowned musician, penned the captivating lyrics of “Uri Jai Mon.” Reflecting on her collaboration with Aniya, she said, “It’s been a humbling experience working with a youngster like Aniya. I hope listeners enjoy the song. It’s also inspiring to see the support Aniya has been receiving from her parents. I hope teenagers and children in Assam get more support in pursuing arts and entertainment. I am always happy to work with them.”
