Aizawl: As the nation gears up for the General Election to the 18th Lok Sabha, Mizoram unveiled its voter statistics with a total of 856,364 eligible voters in the 1-Mizoram (ST) Parliamentary Constituency. 

The breakdown of voters reveals a gender distribution, with 414,805 male voters and 441,559 female voters actively participating in the electoral process.

Aizawl leads the pack with 288,304 registered voters, followed by Lunglei with 100,700 voters. Conversely, Hnahthial reports the lowest number of voters at 16,223.

Furthermore, the demographic details include 4,963 Service Voters, 3,397 Persons with Disabilities (PwD) Voters, and 4,741 voters aged 85 and above, showcasing the diverse composition of the electorate.

Comparing the current figures with the electoral rolls for the 2023 assembly elections, which accounted for a total of 851,895 registered voters, there is a noticeable increase in the number of voters participating in the Lok Sabha elections, with an upsurge of 4,469 voters indicating heightened political engagement and interest among the populace.
