Shillong: Alicia Bakor Phanwar from Meghalaya has clinched the coveted title of Best News Producer (English) at the prestigious Exchange4media News Broadcasting Awards (ENBA), held at the Imperial Hotel in New Delhi on March 30.
The ENBA Awards ceremony serves as a platform to honor excellence within the Indian broadcast news industry.
At the age of 26, Alicia stands out as one of the youngest individuals holding the position of shift supervisor in the India Today TV newsroom.
In addition to her role in shaping the channel’s prime time lineup, Alicia serves as one of the lead producers for India Today’s flagship show “News Today at 9” with Rajdeep Sardesai, a program for which she received the ENBA Gold award.
She also spearheads production for “Mission 2024” with Preeti Choudhry, which secured the gold award for the best early prime time show, along with several other team accolades.
