New Delhi: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Thursday met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his official residence in New Delhi and briefed him on the state government’s efforts to restore peace and normalcy in Manipur.

Khemchand Singh informed Shah that the government had resumed the Imphal-Dimapur-Guwahati bus service, providing much-needed relief to the public.

He sought the Centre’s continued support in addressing various issues facing the state and reiterated his invitation to Shah to visit Manipur.

Accepting the invitation, Shah said he would visit the state this month.

The Union Home Minister assured the Chief Minister of the Centre’s support in restoring peace and promoting progress in Manipur. He also appreciated the state government’s sustained efforts to bring peace and normalcy to the state.
