Imphal: Amid deep grief and sorrow, the mortal remains of two children killed in the devastating bomb attack at Tronglaobi in Manipur’s Bishnupur district were laid to rest on Saturday, 25 days after the tragic incident.
Earlier in the day, the bodies of a five-year-old boy and his six-month-old sister were handed over to their family members from the mortuary of the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Imphal.
The bodies had remained at the RIMS mortuary since the April 7, 2026 incident, as the family initially refused to claim them, demanding immediate justice for the victims.
On Saturday, family members, relatives, and villagers gathered at the mortuary to receive the bodies and bid a final farewell.
