Imphal: After much anticipation, the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) declared the results of the class 12 board examinations for the year 2024 on Monday.
This year, the overall pass percentage stands at 97.63%, marking the highest pass percentage in the history of COHSEM. The pass percentage for the Science stream is 98.91%, while it is 93.35% for Arts and 93.51% for Commerce, respectively.
Students can access their scorecards on the official websites – cohsem.nic.in and manresults.nic.in.
Malemnganbi Laishram from Comet School, Changangei Ucheckon secured the first position in the Science stream with 493 marks. Meanwhile, Thokchom Sheity Ajit of Enlighten Knowledge Higher Secondary School, Sangakpham, and Aiena Naorem of Kakching Higher Secondary School, Kakching, emerged as the toppers in the Arts and Commerce streams, respectively.
This year, a total of 31,121 students appeared for the Class 12 board exams across 111 centers from February 21 to March 23.
According to COHSEM director L Nandakumar, out of the total 31,121 students, 20,498 passed with first divisions, 8,498 with second divisions, and only 1,331 with third divisions.

“I would like to give credit to the students for working hard and the pattern in which we have set the question papers as per the mandate of NEP has also contributed to high scoring marks by the students,” said Nandakumar.
He also commended the officials of higher secondary education for their outstanding work despite the challenging nature of the examinations due to changes in patterns.
