Guwahati: In a simple yet poignant ceremony held at Phubala, Bishnupur district, the Indian Army recognised and honored 11 exceptional sports personalities from Manipur who have showcased exemplary prowess in various sports disciplines.
The event was initiated to mark the upcoming International Women’s Day, observed annually on March 8.
These sportspersons showcased outstanding performances in Asian, National, Junior National, and Zonal Games. Their achievements span across a diverse range of sports including Football, Hockey, Rowing, Weightlifting, and Sepak Takraw.
