Imphal: In the last 24 hours, 869 more persons tested positive for COVID-19. With this, the total confirmed cases now stand at 50,751 and the cumulative number of deaths due to COVID-19 complications at 807.
Fourteen people succumbed to the virus in Manipur.
Also, the total active cases shot up to 8,791, while the recovery rate has dipped to 81.08%.
The new positive cases include 312 from Imphal East, 250 from Imphal West, 98 from Churachandpur, 61 from Bishnupur, 56 from Thoubal, 25 from Senapati, 15 from Kakching, 13 from Kangpokpi, 12 from Tamenglong, 11 from Ukhrul, eight from Chandel and four each from Jiribam and Kamjong districts.
Meanwhile, the latest 14 victims are from Imphal West (7), Imphal East (3), Kakching (2), Churachandpur (1) and Bishnupur (1).
To date, a total of 41,153 have recovered from COVID-19, of which 546 persons recovered and were discharged on Monday.
