Manipur recorded the single-day highest spiked for the second day in a row with 847 fresh positive cases of COVID-19. With these new cases, the state’s total confirmed coronavirus cases stand at 46,298, with 7,243 active cases.
On Tuesday, the state had recorded 824 new COVID-19 cases.
A total of 379 persons have recovered and discharged in the last 24 hours. The state’s recovery rate from COVID-19 dipped to 82.77 per cent from 83.48 per cent on Tuesday.
The positive cases include 304 from Imphal West, 148 from Imphal East, 56 from Bishnupur, 50 from Kakching, 37 from Thoubal, 23 from Churachandpur, 21 each from Ukhrul and Tamenglong, 15 from Jiribam, eight from Pherzawl, six from Kangpokpi, four each from Kamjong and Tengnoupal, two from Noney, and one from Chandel districts.
Also, 10 more infected patients succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours. The cumulative number of deaths due to COVID-19 complications has surged to 730.
The latest 10 victims are from Imphal West (4), Imphal East (4), Bishnupur (1) and Kangpokpi (1), respectively.
