Residents in Aizawl gathered across the city today to watch the Red Bull Aizawl Tlang Ruam 2025 urban downhill race, as large public screens were set up at key locations to stream the event live.
The race, which took place this afternoon, featured elite mountain bikers from India and abroad navigating a longer and more challenging course from Upper Republic to ITI Veng. International riders Tomas Slavik and Pedro Burns mentored the event and were seen engaging with participants and spectators.

With most hotels in Aizawl at full capacity, the public screenings enabled locals and visitors who were not on the race route to watch the high-speed action. Crowds gathered at several points throughout the day, turning the race into a city-wide spectacle.
The event marks the second edition of the Red Bull Aizawl Tlang Ruam, which was first held in October last year. Organisers and officials say the success of today’s race has solidified its position as one of the biggest competitive mountain biking events in the Northeast.
