Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) president Hagrama Mohilary has reaffirmed his party’s commitment to driving development in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), emphasising cooperation with the Assam government to ensure long-term progress.
Speaking to reporters after BPF MLA Charan Boro was sworn in as Assam’s Transport Minister at Raj Bhavan, Mohilary said the party remains focused on the welfare and advancement of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC). He added that closer coordination with the state government would help bridge development gaps and improve governance across the region.
“The BPF has consistently worked for the growth of Bodoland, and we are ready to work hand in hand with the government for the betterment of our people,” Mohilary said. He also announced that the party will begin a series of targeted development initiatives in the BTC starting in November.

With the BPF rejoining the NDA alliance and securing representation in the state Cabinet, political observers say the move could strengthen regional cooperation and accelerate infrastructure and welfare projects in the BTR.
Party supporters and local leaders have welcomed the development, expressing hope that the renewed partnership will bring visible improvements in the region’s economy and social infrastructure.
