Guwahati set to host first-ever Future Skills Summit 2024

Guwahati: The first-ever Future Skills Summit 2024 is set to take place in Guwahati on February 15, 2024. The summit, organised by the National Institute of Electronics and IT (NIELIT) in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), aims to bring together industry experts, policymakers, educators, and technology enthusiasts to deliberate on strategies for building a future-ready talent pool for India and the world.

The summit will focus on four key themes, including the impact of rapid digitisation across the globe, and the emergence of new opportunities for young Indians in next-generation cutting-edge technologies like AI, ML, Semiconductors, Robotics, CyberSecurity, and others.

The summit aims to formulate a roadmap in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s vision of transforming India into a global Talent hub and capitalising on the opportunities presented by emerging technologies.

It is expected that the summit will witness over 20 strategic collaborations between NIELIT and other organisations such as Intel, HCL, Microsoft, Kindryl, and more. The summit will also feature a panel discussion on future skills for India, which will include eminent personalities from the industry and academia.

The speakers at the summit will discuss the importance of skills development for future growth and the role of technology in building a more inclusive and sustainable society.

The Future Skills Summit 2024 will bring together industry experts, policymakers, educators, and technology enthusiasts to deliberate on the strategies for building future-ready talent for India and the world.
