Guwahati: The first-ever Future Skills Summit 2024 is set to take place in Guwahati on February 15, 2024. The summit, organised by the National Institute of Electronics and IT (NIELIT) in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), aims to bring together industry experts, policymakers, educators, and technology enthusiasts to deliberate on strategies for building a future-ready talent pool for India and the world.
The summit will focus on four key themes, including the impact of rapid digitisation across the globe, and the emergence of new opportunities for young Indians in next-generation cutting-edge technologies like AI, ML, Semiconductors, Robotics, CyberSecurity, and others.
The summit aims to formulate a roadmap in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s vision of transforming India into a global Talent hub and capitalising on the opportunities presented by emerging technologies.
It is expected that the summit will witness over 20 strategic collaborations between NIELIT and other organisations such as Intel, HCL, Microsoft, Kindryl, and more. The summit will also feature a panel discussion on future skills for India, which will include eminent personalities from the industry and academia.
The speakers at the summit will discuss the importance of skills development for future growth and the role of technology in building a more inclusive and sustainable society.
Dear Reader,
Every day, our team at EastMojo travels through rain, rough roads, and remote hills to bring you stories that matter – stories from your town, your people, your Northeast.
We do this because we believe in truthful, independent journalism. No big corporate backing, no government pressure – just honest reporting by local journalists who live and breathe the same air you do.
But to keep doing this work, we need you. Your small contribution helps us pay our reporters fairly, reach places others ignore, and keep asking the tough questions.
If you believe the Northeast deserves its own fearless voice, stand with us.
Support independent journalism. Be a Member.
Thank you,
