Restricted Holidays

Employees may avail themselves of two restricted holidays from the following list:

  • New Year’s Day (1 January 2025)
  • Uruka of Magh Bihu (13 January 2025)
  • Ali-Aye-Ligang (19 February 2025, full holiday in specified districts)
  • Sivaratri (26 February 2025)
  • Easter Saturday (19 April 2025)
  • Birth Anniversary of Sri Sri Thakur Anukul Chandra (16 September 2025)

Special Holidays

  • Lakshmi Puja: Half-day holiday on 6 October 2025 (Monday).
  • Annual Bank Holiday: No public transactions on 1 April 2025 (Annual closing).

District-Specific Holidays

Ali-Aye-Ligang will be observed as a full holiday in Dhemaji, North Lakhimpur, and nine other districts, while other districts will observe a restricted holiday.

Additional Observations

  • All second and fourth Saturdays will be holidays.
  • Educational and medical institutions are encouraged to reduce holidays and adopt academic calendars.
