Assam man's dead body found in Telangana's Nalgonda

Silchar: A 30-year-old man of southern Assam’s Karimganj district was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Miryalaguda in Telangana’s Nalgonda district on Monday.

The news of the death reached the deceased Debananda Gour’s native place Hatikhira gaon panchayat (under Bazaricherra police station) on Wednesday.

Debananda was the son of late Ramswarup Gour. As per family members, Debananda had gone to Telangana recently in search of work to earn money to run his financially-weak family.

On Wednesday, the Bazaricherra police informed him about his death, family members said. They suspected it to be a case of murder and demanded a high-level investigation into the matter.

As per information gathered from various sources, Debananda was found dead on a road near a railway track in Miryalaguda, Nalgonda on Monday morning. Police recovered the dead body, which had multiple injury marks, to a hospital for post-mortem.

Police found Debananda’s Aadhar card from which his name and address were found after which the Bazaricherra police were contacted and informed about the dead body, the sources said.

Local residents of Hatikhira GP also suspected that Debananda was murdered and then his body was dumped on that site (where the body was found). They demanded that a high-level probe be conducted into the matter and strict punishment be given to all those involved in the alleged crime.
