Since its establishment in 2017, Assam’s Royal Global University has been steadfast in its pursuit to become a premier institution in the Northeast, dedicated to academic excellence and fostering innovation. With a focus on quality teaching and pioneering research, the university continues to make significant strides in advancing its academic mission.
In a recent development, the university has taken concrete measures to empower both its faculty and students through research grants. In the fiscal year 2022-2023, a noteworthy sum of Rs 11,11,173 was allocated towards supporting ‘Student Research Projects,’ which were conducted under the mentorship of identified faculty members.
Looking ahead to 2024, the university has launched an ambitious research initiative dubbed ‘Seed Money Grants,’ aimed at providing financial support to faculty members across various disciplines for a duration of 1-1.5 years. In a remarkable show of commitment to fostering research endeavours, a substantial sum of Rs 72 lakh has been earmarked for this initiative, benefitting a total of 54 faculty members.

To kickstart this initiative, the university has already disbursed the first instalment of the grant, amounting to Rs 18,06,000. Notably, the scope of these research projects extends beyond faculty members, with active involvement from students, thereby providing valuable learning opportunities and enhancing the university’s research ecosystem.
