The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of N. F. Railway has arrested four persons and recovered valuables worth approximately Rs. 1.03 lakh in thefts of passengers’ belongings at four stations in the country. The RPF arrested the four persons at different stations in N. F. Railway’s zone between March 23 and 26, 2024.
According to a statement issued by the RPF, on March 26, 2024, the RPF and GRP of BarChoi jointly conducted a check at the Barsoi railway station and arrested one person with two stolen mobile phones worth Rs. 30,000. On the same day, the RPF team of Guwahati conducted a check at the Guwahati railway station and arrested one person with one stolen mobile phone worth Rs. 10,000.
On March 25, 2024, the RPF team of Kishanganj jointly with the CPDS team of Katihar conducted a check at the Panjipara railway station and arrested one person and recovered one stolen mobile phone worth Rs. 60,000. The RPF team of New Bongaigaon jointly with the CPDS team of Rangiya conducted a check at the New Bongaigaon railway station on March 23, 2024, and arrested one person and recovered one stolen mobile phone worth Rs. 03,000.
