All Assam Students' Union begins protest against CAA

Guwahati: The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) organised a mass bike rally across the state on Thursday protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

Hundreds of AASU members participated in the motorbike rally, demanding the repeal of the controversial Act.

In various districts including Dibrugarh, Kokrajhar, and several others, a massive motorcycle rally was conducted.

As per reports, AASU vice president Nabajyoti Roy led an anti-CAA motorcycle rally, with hundreds of AASU leaders and activists participating, starting from the AASU district office premises near Ras Mela ground in Kokrajhar town.

Addressing the media, Roy reiterated the AASU’s commitment to its democratic movement against the CAA, emphasizing that their protests would continue.

To maintain law and order, the state police force had heightened security measures in anticipation of the CAA protest, aiming to prevent any untoward incidents.
