Kohima: In a recent operation, Assam Rifles personnel neutralised an NSCN-K (YA) cadre in Arunachal Pradesh’s Longding district.
As per a defence official, Assam Rifles launched the operation based on specific information about the movement of movement of cadres in the Changkhao area. .
Upon approaching, Assam Rifles’ search team faced gunfire from the insurgents. Reacting swiftly, the troops returned fire, resulting in the neutralization of one NSCN(K-YA) cadre.
Following the exchange, Assam Rifles personnel recovered a pistol and other war-like stores from the site.
