The counting of votes for the Assembly elections in Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim is taking place today, June 2. The elections were held on April 19 for 60 seats in Arunachal Pradesh and 32 seats in Sikkim. Initially, the vote counting was scheduled for June 4, but the dates were revised as the terms of their legislative assemblies end on June 2.

In Arunachal Pradesh, results are being declared for 50 seats, while the ruling BJP has already secured ten seats unopposed.

In Sikkim, with 32 Assembly seats, a party or coalition requires at least 17 seats to form the government. Chief Minister PS Tamang and five-term former Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling are among the key contestants in the elections.
