Railway subsidy of Rs 56,993 crore reduces travel costs for passengers

To accommodate the increased passenger demand, the Indian Railways has decided to extend the services of two pairs of weekly special trains. Train numbers 03027/03028 (Howrah – New Jalpaiguri – Howrah) and 03105/03106 (Sealdah – Jagiroad – Sealdah) will operate additional trips from the first week of August 2024. These extensions aim to alleviate the extra rush of passengers, with the trains maintaining their current schedules, days of service, and stoppages.

Train No. 03027 (Howrah – New Jalpaiguri) will depart from Howrah at 23:55 every Wednesday from 7th August to 28th August 2024, arriving at New Jalpaiguri at 10:45 the following day. The return service, Train No. 03028 (New Jalpaiguri – Howrah), will leave New Jalpaiguri at 12:45 every Thursday from 8th August to 29th August 2024, reaching Howrah at 00:10 the next day. This train will pass through stations including Kishanganj, Malda Town, Azimganj, Katwa, and Bandel.

Similarly, Train No. 03105 (Sealdah – Jagiroad) will depart from Sealdah at 09:00 every Friday from 2nd August to 30th August 2024, arriving at Jagiroad at 06:30 the following day. In the opposite direction, Train No. 03106 (Jagiroad – Sealdah) will leave Jagiroad at 13:00 every Saturday from 3rd August to 31st August 2024, reaching Sealdah at 13:00 the next day. The train will travel via Guwahati, Goalpara Town, New Bongaigaon, New Alipurduar, New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj, Malda Town, Jangipur Road, Azimganj, Bandel, and Naihati.

Passengers on waiting lists for other trains along these routes are encouraged to utilise these special services for a more comfortable journey. Detailed information on the train timings and stoppages is available on the IRCTC website and the social media platforms of N. F. Railway. Passengers are advised to verify the details prior to their travel.
