The International Olympic Committee (IOC) Board has announced that the Olympic Esports Games will be officially open during the Paris 2024 games. The IOC is already in advanced talks with a potential host, which marks a significant step towards integrating esports into the Olympic movement.
The Esports World Cup (EWC) has also expanded its game roster with the addition of two final competitions. The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Warzone will be played by teams, bringing the total number of games to 21. The EWC is set to kick off on July 3, 2024, promising fans an exciting array of competitions.
The Esports Awards has also announced a three-year partnership with the Esports World Cup Foundation. As part of this collaboration, the Esports Awards will host a ceremony on August 24, 2024, in Riyadh to honor the achievements of the esports community. The partnership aims to highlight and celebrate the achievements made by clubs, athletes, content creators, and games.
The Moonton Games and Qiddiya Partnership are also developing the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) ecosystem. The two companies are looking to expand their partnership by leveraging online and offline activations, broadcast segments, and other exciting experiences. The partnership between the two also aims to drive the growth of the esports sector in Saudi Arabia.
