The farmer protest happening in Delhi, Punjab and Haryana seems to have left many right-wingers confused, angry, and bitter. After calling them Congress Supporters and using the Khalistani label to defame the protesters, BJP supporters are now finding faults in the outfit a farmer wears. Indian director Vivek Agnihotri seems to be no different.
In a recent tweet, Agnihotri seemed appalled by the fact that a farmer could speak flawless English during a conversation with the paramilitary force on the seriousness of the issue. However, a fact-check on the “farmer” in question shows that he is Indian actor Deep Sidhu, who has joined the farmers’ protest.
Agnihotri wrote, “Hahahahaha. The poor landless farmer for whom WOKES are crying,” and Twitterati is leaving no stones unturned to troll the director.
