The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has issued a recruitment notification to fill 24 positions under the Sports Quota. Both men and women who are eligible sports persons and citizens of India are invited to apply online for various posts ranging from Level-1 to Level-5. The deadline for application submissions is 9th June 2024. Interested candidates can apply through the official website www.nfr.indianrailways.gov.in after reviewing all necessary details.
The recruitment is open to sportspersons from the fields of weightlifting, golf, boxing, cycling, cricket, badminton, football, and table tennis. Applicants must be between 18 to 25 years old as of 1st July 2024 for Level 4 and 5 posts, and as of 1st January 2024 for Level 1 to 3 posts. Candidates must meet the minimum educational qualifications and have sports achievements as per the specified norms. Only those who are currently active players with achievements in recognized championships or events held on or after 1st April 2021 will be considered.
Trials for the shortlisted candidates are tentatively scheduled for 20th and 28th June 2024. Candidates should be prepared for trials in their respective sports disciplines. The selection process includes a trial of sports performance, followed by an interview and assessment of sports achievements and educational qualifications. Appointments will be made strictly on a merit basis.
