An ice cream vendor in Telangana’s Warangal district, identified as Kaluram Kurbia, found himself in legal trouble after a disturbing video surfaced, showing him engaging in an objectionable act while selling ice cream in Nekkonda. The incident has sparked outrage and led to Kurbia’s arrest by local authorities.
According to police reports, Kurbia, hailing from Rajasthan, was captured on camera indulging in the inappropriate behaviour at the Ambedkar Centre. Following public outcry over the video, a food inspector intervened and collected samples of the ice cream for investigation.
Subsequent inquiries led to Kurbia’s arrest under Section 294 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for engaging in obscene acts in a public place. While authorities did not explicitly detail the nature of the act depicted in the video, they confirmed its involvement in inappropriate conduct.
The incident has raised concerns over food safety and hygiene practices among roadside vendors, prompting calls for stricter regulations and vigilant oversight to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
