Kohima: The Department of Higher Education, Nagaland, has invited applications for the Nagaland Government Ex-Gratia Scheme for Students Studying Outside Nagaland (NGESSO) for the 2026-27 academic session.
The scheme provides an ex-gratia assistance of ₹5 lakh to the family of an indigenous Naga student from Nagaland in the event of the student’s unfortunate death while pursuing studies outside the state.
To avail of the benefit, eligible students must register with the Directorate of Higher Education, Nagaland.
The department informed that fresh and renewal registration forms, along with detailed guidelines, are available for download on the Directorate of Higher Education’s website.
The last date for submission of registration forms is September 30, 2026.
