The Indian National Congress has announced T Chalukumba Ao as its candidate for the forthcoming bye-election to the 28 Koridang-ST Assembly constituency in Nagaland.
According to an official press release issued by the All India Congress Committee (AICC), Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge approved Ao’s candidature for the ensuing bye-election.
Separately, Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) president and Member of Parliament S Supongmeren Jamir formally handed over the party ticket to Ao at a brief function held at Congress Bhavan in Kohima.
The announcement comes ahead of the bye-election to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly from the Koridang-ST constituency.
