Nagaland: Imtiwapang announces independent candidacy for Koridang bye-election

A new entrant has joined the contest for the 28th Koridang Assembly constituency bye-election in Nagaland, with Imtiwapang announcing his candidature at Chungtia village on Friday afternoon.

The declaration programme took place at Samen Jopang and was attended by hundreds of residents from Chungtia village. During the event, Imtiwapang stated that he would contest the forthcoming bye-election as an independent candidate.

He also expressed his gratitude to the Chungtia Village Council for permitting him to make the announcement, acknowledging what he described as the honour and blessings extended by the village. He concluded his remarks by thanking those who attended the programme.

Speaking at the gathering, the chairman of the village council urged residents to participate in the electoral process in a peaceful manner, cautioning against any disorder or disruption.

Several well-wishers also addressed the event, offering encouragement to the candidate and extending their best wishes for the upcoming bye-election.
