Kohima: The Nagaland Science Mission (NSM) is calling for research proposals from Indigenous Naga Scientists, Technologists, Engineers, and Researchers. The focus is on finding solutions to local problems through scientific and technological applications.
The grant will support projects for two years, covering laboratory consumables and minor scientific equipment.
To be eligible, applicants must be working in academic institutions, registered societies, R&D institutions, or universities with adequate research infrastructure. The NSM Technical Expert Committee will evaluate proposals based on technical merit and select the best proposals for funding. The Technical Expert Committee’s decision, based on the technical merit of the proposal, will be final and binding.

Applicants are required to submit completed proposal formats in MS Word and PDF via email and one hard copy of the same with all original signatures appended in the Certificates from Investigators & Endorsement from the Head of the Proposer’s Institution to be sent by post or in person.
The digital submission should include a MS Word and PDF file sent via email. The physical copy, with original signatures and endorsements, must be mailed or delivered to the Mission Director, Nagaland Science Mission, Directorate of Science & Technology, Below Civil Secretariat, Kohima – 797004, Nagaland.
The deadline for proposal submission is February 15, 2025.
