Nagaland: NH-29 to remain partially closed for traffic till Sept 2

Kohima: As ongoing restoration work on National Highway-29 near Dzüdza bridge under Sechü Zubza continues, Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant, has issued an order stating that the highway will remain closed to all kinds of traffic from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM starting August 31 until September 2, 2024.

The partial closure comes as a precautionary measure due to the partial restoration of the highway stretch between chainage KM 163+980 to KM 164+030 (RHS). According to the order, the closure is necessary to ensure the safety of both the commuters and the workers involved in the restoration efforts.

During this period, the highway will be partially opened for heavy vehicles between 7:00 PM and 6:00 AM. However, priority will be given to vehicles carrying essential commodities. Heavy passenger vehicles, such as buses, will not be allowed until further notice.
