Kohima: The Dimapur Commissioner of Police and Chairman of the Aerodrome Committee, Rothihu Tetseo, on Thursday, warned of flying any Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) within an aerial distance of 3 km from the perimeter of the Nagaland’s lone airport in the district.
The police officer informed that RPA such as drones, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), and so on shall not be flown within the area as prescribed.
The order was issued as per the Civil Aviation Requirement, Section 3–Air Transport, Series X Part 1/Issue 1/ dated the 27th of August, 2018.
Tetseo also informed that violations would amount to suspension and cancellation of the UIN/ UAOP of the RPA issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
Further, it will attract punitive action under relevant sections of the Indian Penal code (IPC), Aircraft Act 1934, the Aircraft Rules 1937 or any statutory provisions.
