Aizawl: The Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP) has invited candidates who have faced difficulties in the Mizoram Public Service Commission (MPSC) recruitment process to attend a meeting on Wednesday to discuss their grievances and chart a way forward.
The decision was taken at an emergency meeting of the MZP General Headquarters Executive Committee held in Aizawl on Tuesday under the chairmanship of MZP president Dr C. Lalremruata.
According to the student body, the meeting reviewed various problems faced by job seekers in MPSC recruitment. It expressed concern that recent issues in the commission’s functioning could erode the confidence of young job aspirants in the state’s premier recruitment agency.
MZP resolved to push for measures to strengthen the MPSC and improve its functioning, including addressing staffing requirements. As part of its efforts, the organisation has invited all candidates who have faced problems related to the MPSC’s One Time Registration (OTR) system or any other recruitment-related issues to gather at the MZP General Headquarters office at Treasury Square, Aizawl, at 11 am on August 5 to discuss further action.

The organisation said it has been closely monitoring complaints related to MPSC recruitment and expressed particular concern over cases in which candidates were rejected because of issues with the One Time Registration system. It also highlighted instances where candidates who had successfully cleared written examinations were later disqualified due to OTR-related discrepancies.
MZP appealed to all affected candidates to attend the meeting and contribute to discussions on measures to improve transparency, efficiency and public confidence in the MPSC recruitment process.
