MadeByMizo e-commerce platform launched in Aizawl

Aizawl: The official launch of MadeByMizo.com, a dedicated e-commerce platform created under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) MZ4 Marketing Intervention initiative, was held today at Lianchhiari Run Conference Hall, Treasury Square.

The website is designed to promote and market products exclusively made by Mizo entrepreneurs and artisans, showcasing locally manufactured and handcrafted items to a wider audience beyond the state.

The launch programme was graced by F. Rodingliana, Minister of Commerce & Industries, as Chief Guest. J.K. Dawngzuala, Chairman of ZOHANDCO, attended as Guest of Honour, while L.P. Lalchangkima, Managing Director of ZOHANDCO, chaired the function.

Speaking at the event, Minister F. Rodingliana stated that while Mizos have already been engaging in trade through IT platforms, there has been a lack of a reliable and verified e-commerce platform dedicated to local entrepreneurs and buyers. He expressed satisfaction that MadeByMizo.com now provides a trustworthy platform that can inspire confidence not only among local customers but also buyers from outside the state.

The Minister highlighted that one of the biggest challenges faced by local producers is market linkage. He noted that the Mizoram Government has been actively addressing this issue under its Handholding Policy and that the launch of this website aligns closely with ongoing government initiatives to strengthen market access for local MSMEs.

Emphasising its broader vision, the Minister said MadeByMizo.com is not merely a website but a gateway for entrepreneurs, artisans, and farmers. Through this platform, products from even the remotest villages can reach customers more easily, while producers gain access to national and international markets. He appreciated the efforts of all those involved in conceptualising and implementing the platform and urged stakeholders to continue working diligently to ensure that only the best quality Mizo-made products are showcased.

Chairperson of the programme, L.P. Lalchangkima, welcomed the attendees, while J.K. Dawngzuala expressed appreciation for the creation of a dedicated platform to promote and sell Mizo products. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Pu Zodinpuia, Liaison Officer, RAMP.

MadeByMizo.com is a curated platform that promotes high-quality products made by Mizo entrepreneurs using locally sourced raw materials. Only items produced by Mizo artisans and businesses within Mizoram are featured. The platform places importance on traceability, enabling buyers to access information about raw materials, production locations, and the makers themselves.

Products on the website are categorised into various segments including food and beverages, apparel, health-related items, handicrafts, and other locally produced goods.

The platform operates as a selective marketplace rather than an open one. Businesses interested in joining can contact the official MadeByMizo Instagram page via direct message. Selected enterprises will receive support to expand their market reach beyond Mizoram to other states. In addition, MadeByMizo kiosks are planned to be established in Bangalore, Kolkata, and Delhi to further promote curated Mizo products in major cities across India.
