Aizawl: A woman identified as Lalremruati has been taken into custody by the police in connection with the alleged murder of her husband, Lalchhuanawma, a 39-year-old resident of Mission Vengthlang, Aizawl.
According to local news sources, Lalchhuanawma was found dead in the early hours of July 27, at around 2:00 AM. Initial suspicion pointed to suicide, but further investigation raised concerns of foul play, particularly after indications emerged of a suspected love triangle.
Authorities began treating the case as a possible homicide after inconsistencies were noted during the preliminary inquiry. As per reports, Lalremruati allegedly confessed to strangling her husband with a rope, leading to his death.
The case has shocked the local community and drawn widespread attention due to its disturbing nature and the initial confusion surrounding the cause of death.
