Aizawl: Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, the Governor of Tripura, was sworn in as the additional Governor of Mizoram at the Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan in Aizawl on Monday morning. He will serve in this role “during the absence on leave” of incumbent Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati.
The oath of office was administered by Justice Nelson Sailo, Judge of the Gauhati High Court, while the Warrant of Appointment from the President of India was read by Chief Secretary Dr. Renu Sharma.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Lalduhoma, Speaker Lalbiakzama, Home Minister K. Sapdanga, other Cabinet Ministers, Ministers of State, Lok Sabha MP, the Chief Secretary, DGP, and other special invitees.
Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, born on March 31, 1949, in Ganuga Banda Village, Nalgonda District, Telangana, is married to Renuka Nallu, and the couple has three sons. A three-time legislator in undivided Andhra Pradesh (1983, 1985, and 1999), he served as BJP state president in 2003 and was appointed national general secretary in 2014.
