Aizawl: In a collaborative effort between Assam Rifles and Mizoram Police, a significant recovery of arms and ammunition was made during a joint operation along the Indo-Myanmar border in the Zokhawthar area of Mizoram.
Acting on precise intelligence regarding the movement of illicit weapons, the operation was launched on May 2nd, 2024, resulting in the apprehension of a Myanmar national.
The operation, which was meticulously planned and executed, targeted areas known for illegal trafficking activities. The timely intervention by security forces led to the successful apprehension of the individual, identified as a Myanmar national.

Along with the arrest, a cache of arms and ammunition was seized, including two pistols and various war-like stores.
Following the apprehension and recovery, the detained individual, along with the seized arms and ammunition, was handed over to Mizoram Police for further investigation and legal proceedings.
