Mizoram government to repatriate three residents stranded in Syria

The individuals, identified as domestic workers, have reportedly faced significant challenges in the foreign land and have expressed their desire to return to India.

According to statements released by Mizoram police officials, the three individuals have encountered difficulties while residing in Syria and have sought assistance to facilitate their return to their homeland. Upon learning of their plight, the authorities swiftly initiated efforts to coordinate their repatriation.

Initial attempts to seek assistance from the Indian embassy in Syria revealed a hurdle – the lack of financial resources required to arrange their journey back to India. Undeterred by this setback, the Mizoram government has stepped forward to cover the expenses associated with their voyage.
