Aizawl: As of 9 AM in the Mizoram (ST) Parliamentary Constituency General Election to Lok Sabha, 2024, the voting turnout stood at 17.25%.
This figure mirrors the turnout recorded during the corresponding time frame in the 2019 elections. Across the constituency’s 1,276 polling stations, voting commenced after a mock poll exercise, ensuring the smooth functioning of the electoral process.
Notably, Lawngtlai district witnessed the highest voter participation rate, with a turnout of 22.68%.
As the day progresses, authorities anticipate a steady increase in voter turnout, with citizens exercising their fundamental right to elect their representatives. The capital Aizawl district recorded a voter turnout of 14.45%.
