Aizawl: Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma, who also oversees the finance portfolio, is set to present the inaugural budget of the new Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) government on February 27.
The budget session of the assembly is scheduled to commence on February 19 and will continue until March 13, according to Assembly Commissioner and Secretary Vanlalthantlingi.
During a recent meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC), it was unanimously decided that the budget session would extend until March 13 to facilitate comprehensive discussions on key financial matters.
Lalduhoma, in his dual role as Chief Minister and Finance Minister, will table the state budget for the fiscal year 2024-25 and present supplementary demands for the fiscal year 2023-24 on February 27.
Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati will kick off the proceedings by delivering the customary gubernatorial address to the House on the first day of the budget session.
