Shillong: Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong underwent skull surgery on Thursday at Apollo Hospital, New Delhi, where he is receiving neurosurgical treatment for a subdural haemorrhage (SDH).
According to a statement from Commissioner and Secretary (IPR), Vijay Mantri, “Tynsong underwent a left fronto-temporal parietal craniotomy with evacuation of the SDH today at Apollo Hospital.”
Mantri confirmed that Tynsong is conscious and his vitals are stable. He added, “The Deputy Chief Minister will be moved out of the ICU after observation.”
Tynsong was initially admitted to the ICU at Nazareth Hospital in Shillong on September 9, under the care of the Department of Neurosurgery. He was transferred to Apollo Hospital, New Delhi, on September 11 for further treatment.
