Imphal: Acting on credible intelligence regarding the presence of arms and ammunition in the Yaripok area of Thoubal district, Manipur, the Indian Army, in conjunction with Assam Rifles, launched a targeted search operation on Wednesday.
The operation yielded significant results, with the recovery of a cache of weapons and war-like stores.

During the meticulously conducted search operation, security forces recovered items including one 9mm Carbine Machine Gun, one 9mm Pistol, one Double Barrel Gun, six Hand Grenades, ammunition and other war-like stores
The recovered arms and ammunition have been handed over to the Manipur Police for further investigation and appropriate action.
