Kohima District Football Association and Assam Rifles resolve differences

The Kohima District Football Association (KDFA) and the Assam Rifles (AR) have resolved their recent differences, following KDFA’s earlier decision to adopt a stance of non-cooperation with the force.

A meeting was held on 31 August 2025 at Hotel 2K in Kohima, attended by officials of KDFA, officers from the 45 and 13 Assam Rifles, and family members of the late Captain N Kengurüse.

The matter was settled after a two-hour discussion. KDFA expressed appreciation to various district football associations for extending solidarity during the period of disagreement.

The Association reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote football and nurture talent in Kohima district and across Nagaland.
