Umami: Nagaland University, the only Central University in the state, has announced admissions for its UG, PG, PhD, and other programmes for the 2025–26 academic year. In alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, all programmes now offer multiple entry and exit options with certification at each level, ensuring greater flexibility and accessibility for students.
With its headquarters in Lumami and other permanent campuses at Medziphema and Meriema (Kohima), Nagaland University offers an enriching academic environment infused with cultural diversity, cutting-edge research, and deep-rooted community engagement.
Established by an Act of Parliament in 1989 and accredited by the NAAC, the University invites applications across a wide range of disciplines under its Schools of Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities & Education, and Management Studies.
The online application for undergraduate and postgraduate courses is open from 1st to 20th July 2025, while the PhD programme application window is from 20th June to 12th July 2025. Applications for D.Sc., D.Litt., and LL.D programmes can be submitted between 1st and 20th July 2025.
