How much is Rihanna being paid to perform at Anant Ambani's wedding?

Renowned pop icon Rihanna is set to grace the stage at the pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani, the son of Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani. According to sources, the singer has been offered a substantial fee for her performance, estimated to be between Rs 66 crore and Rs 74 crore ($8 million-$9 million).

The festivities are scheduled to commence on March 1 with an event titled ‘An Evening in Everland’. Rihanna arrived in Jamnagar, Gujarat, on February 29, along with her entourage, and was spotted by photographers as she made her way out of the airport.

It is reported that Rihanna will be putting on a grand performance, featuring a medley of her popular songs, including the hit single ‘Diamonds’. A significant portion of the expenses for her gig is reportedly being allocated towards transporting her stage equipment and facilitating outfit changes for both her and the background singers.

Rihanna’s last performance was at the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show, which garnered a massive viewership of approximately 121.017 million, making it one of the most-watched Super Bowl events in history.

Notably, this is not the first time an international musician has performed at an Ambani wedding. In 2018, Beyoncé performed at the sangeet ceremony of Isha Ambani, daughter of Mukesh Ambani, and Anand Piramal. Beyoncé’s performance fee was reportedly close to Rs 4 million.

In addition to Rihanna, Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh is also expected to perform at the grand pre-wedding event. Another highlight of the festivities will be a performance by renowned illusionist David Blaine.
