Actor Rituraj Singh passes away at 59 after cardiac arrest

Renowned actor and activist Rituraj Singh passed away on Monday night following a cardiac arrest. He was 59 years old.

Singh, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer a few months ago, was a familiar face in the television industry, known for his portrayal of characters like Yashpal in the popular series ‘Anupamaa‘.

Amit Behl, a close friend of the actor, expressed his grief, saying, “I am deeply saddened by the news of Rituraj’s passing. We shared the same building, and he was a part of my first film as a producer. I have lost both a friend and an exceptional actor.”

The Times of India reported that Singh had been battling pancreatic illness. Pancreatic cancer, in particular, is known for its high mortality rate and is often diagnosed at an advanced stage due to vague symptoms.

Rituraj Singh’s notable works include appearances in web series such as ‘Bandish Bandits’ and ‘Made in Heaven’, as well as in films like ‘Badrinath ki Dulhania’, ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’, and ‘Yaariyan 2’.
