Guwahati: In pursuance of DHE’s permission letter no. DHE/CE/Roster/92/2017/32 dated August 9, 2019, applications in prescribed format with complete bio-data and self attested copies of all testimonials from HSLC onward are hereby invited from eligible candidates for the following posts of Assistant professor:
1. Political Science
No. of post: 1 (reserved for OBC/MOBC)
2. Bengali
No. of post: 1 (reserved for ST (H))
3. Hindi
No. of post: 1 (reserved for ST (P))
4. English
No. of post: 1 (reserved for OBC/MOBC)
Salary: UGC pay scale of Rs 57,700 – Rs 1,82,400 with other allowances as per rule and as admissible from time to time.
Qualifications: The candidates must have at least 55% marks at the Master’s degree level (5% is relaxable to candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category) in the concerned subject and must have cleared the NET/SLET/SET conducted by UGC/CSIR or similar test accredited by UGC like SLET Commission. The candidate having PhD Degree in accordance with the UGC (minimum standards & procedure for award of PhD Degree) Regulation 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET
Selection: The selection will be made as per latest guideline issued by the Higher Education Department, Government of Assam.
Age limit: a) Candidates should not be more than 38 years of age as on 01/01/2019 with relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/PWD/ and 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates.
b) Candidates have to acquire qualifications as on the last date for submitting applications. Eligibility like MPhil/PhD/Seminar papers/Publications can be acquired and submitted on the date of interview and not beyond.

How to apply: In service candidates have to apply through proper channel with an NOC form the appointing authority/employer. Without NOC the applications are liable to be rejected.
Requirements: The candidates must have Permanent Residential Certificate (PRC) and must know local languages.
