Guwahati: In celebration of Children’s Day, Cairn has implemented a series of community initiatives focused on improving educational opportunities and infrastructure for students in Assam.
The company distributed essential school supplies, organized art competitions, and enhanced local school infrastructure.
Two desk distribution events provided 24 desks to students at Chomua LP School in Mariani, Jorhat, and 69 desks to students in grades 1-5 at Kotha LP School in Jagun North, Tinsukia. Representatives from the company, local leaders, parents, and Anganwadi workers attended these events.
“We believe in empowering students with the resources needed to excel. Providing these tools supports not only their studies but also our vision of sustainable, community-centered growth,” said a company spokesperson.
Furthering their commitment to fostering creativity, Cairn organized an art competition at Kothagoan LP School in Jagun. Ninety-three students from three schools participated in the event, showcasing their artistic talents. Over 150 teachers, local authorities, and parents attended the event. Winners received prizes; all participants received certificates.
“Art is a powerful medium of expression, and we were pleased to see the talent of these young students. We hope this experience motivates them to explore their creative potential,” shared a Cairn representative, highlighting the initiative’s success in nurturing community engagement.
Additionally, Cairn distributed electric fans to 666 No. Toratoli Agchomua LP School and Gohainbari Bagisa, an Anganwadi Centre in Naginijan, to improve learning conditions during the warmer months. This effort aimed to enhance educational infrastructure to provide students a comfortable and inviting learning environment.
These initiatives reflect Cairn’s dedication to the well-being of the communities in which it operates. “We are dedicated to enhancing quality of life and enabling students to excel within their communities,” added the spokesperson.
