Boko: In a heart-wrenching incident late last night, a devastating fire broke out at the residence of one Bahadur Ali in Jahirpur village under Goroimari PS, in the Kamrup district of Assam.
The sudden blaze, reportedly caused by an electrical short circuit, tragically resulted in the deaths of Bahadur Ali’s two sons, Sajan Ali (20) and Samej Ali (22) who were caught in the flames.
As per locals, the siblings were Persons with Disabilities (PwDs).
Bahadur Ali’s wife, Azzuwara Begum, sustained severe burns and is currently receiving medical treatment. The fire inflicted considerable damage on the family’s property. The fire brigade arrived at the scene and was able to extinguish the fire.

Meanwhile, the Goroimari Police reached the scene and recovered the bodies which were sent to the GMCH for post-mortem.
The tragedy has sent shockwaves throughout the region, with locals rallying around the bereaved family during this difficult time. Locals are also urged local authorities to provide adequate compensation to the affected family.
