Guwahati: The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) released an official notification regarding the recruitment of candidates for the position of Inspector of Factories under the Labour Welfare Department.
The notification states that there are a total of three vacancies available for this position.
According to the official notification for APSC Recruitment 2024, interested candidates must meet certain eligibility criteria to apply for the position. One of the key requirements is that applicants must fall within the age bracket of 23 to 38 years old.
Applicants must hold a degree in one of the engineering or technological fields, ideally chemical, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
According to the recruitment notification, applicants must have two years of relevant experience in a manufacturing company or workshop with excellent standing.
Additionally, candidates who fulfill the necessary qualifications will be shortlisted and invited to participate in an interview process.
The application for the online portal opened on January 10, 2024. Applications will close on February 8, 2024. Additionally, the last date for payment of the application fee is February 10, 2024.

Successful candidates selected for the Inspector of Factories position through the APSC Recruitment 2024 will be entitled to a monthly salary of up to Rs. 1,10,000, along with a Grade Pay of Rs. 12,700.
In terms of the application process, general category candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 250, while candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/MOBC categories must pay Rs. 150. However, candidates falling under the BPL and PwBD categories are exempt from paying the application fee.
